Sarah Zybert, Program Manager

Sarah Zybert joined ECIC in 2023 as the Program Manager for the National Center for Family and Parent Leadership. Sarah believes that authentic partnership with parent leaders that includes empowerment resulting in parents leading the work is the only truly equitable way to change systems and ensure more children can thrive and grow up safe, loved, and ready to succeed.  

Coming from a background that includes a decade of direct advocacy work as a parent leader, as well as six years working in child welfare, and nine years in nonprofits, Sarah brings her lived expertise and passion to this work. Her top priorities are always building and improving systems with a focus on equity. In her role as Program Manager, Sarah has the honor of partnering with people across the U.S. and within Michigan to further equity work and parent leadership practice.
